Metal Gear Solid

Before the PlayStation redefined stealth action, before Hideo Kojima became a household name, there was a different kind of infiltration on a much smaller scale. I'm talking about Metal Gear Solid for the Game Boy Color.
Released in 2000, this title is NOT a port of the PlayStation masterpiece. Instead, it's a unique, top-down stealth experience designed specifically for the limitations and strengths of the Game Boy Color. Forget polygon counts and cutscenes, we're going back to basics: careful planning, enemy patrol patterns, item management, and nail-biting tension squeezed onto that iconic green screen.
You are once again Solid Snake, tasked with infiltrating a heavily guarded fortress, this time the heavily fortified Galuade Island, to stop a new breed of Metal Gear and the terrorists who control it. Expect cunning enemy AI, intricate level design, and even some familiar faces and mechanics from the console game, but presented in a charmingly pixelated and stripped-down fashion.
